Background and Accomplishments

Lisa Hissong is the owner/choreographer of Lisa's School of Dance, She has been dancing since age 6. She studied under the noted Dancer/Choreographer, Donna Darley. Miss Miss Lisa choreographed for the Spokane Talent Troup, performed at the Spokane Opera House as a guest entertainer and was elected Co-Director of The Rocky Mountain Tap Co - through the Idaho Dance Teachers Association.

Having great passion for the Arts, she has established and implemented a successful after school enrichment dance program for the Pasco School District for the past 6 years. Miss Lisa also studies with a variety of Choreographers who are Masters of their Craft to bring the best and latest to her Dancers. With over 30 years teaching experience specializing in the very young and with her artistic ability and enthusiasm for dance, former students have gone on to achieve great goals and awards.

The most recent include:

Her Senior Company received Gold Champion for 42nd Street, Sterling Silver Champion for 100% Pure Love and a special trophy Junior Division Best Costume for 42nd Street.

Her Junior Company received Gold Champion for All That Jazz.

Her Primary Company received Gold Champion for Mickey Mouse's Birthday Party, Gold Champion for Broomstick Buckaroo and two ribbons: Entertainment Challenge Contender and Starling's Darlings.

They competed in the International Dance Challenge in Coeur D'Alene, ID March 3rd-2007

Her 100% Pure Love group went to a Dance America competion in Idaho, March of 2006 and came home with a

1st place in Primary Large Group Jazz

and a Special Award for

Best Emotional Execution

Primary/Junior Division

Heather Sato, who toured and appeared in videos and on TV with singing sensation Paula Abdul.

Heather Hissong, who received high bronze at the L.A. Dance Force competition for her solo tap routine and qualified for nationals.

Lois Neville, who won Best of Show at the 1997 Young Performers Show (Child Star magazine co-sponsored) in Seattle, also qualifying for nationals. Miss Lisa's dancers won the 2004 community choice award, also the 2001 Judges Choice at the City of Richland’s Summer Fun Day Parade; In 1999 Lisa's School of Dance took four routines to a Pasco competition and came home with four First Place trophies.

Although they have many awards to show for their efforts, the most important aspect of dancing at Lisa's School of Dance:
